This support group aims to rehabilitate newly-treated colorectal cancer patients to enable them to adjust to a new quality of life. Members meet to share their personal experiences, exchange information, and gain insights into how their peers cope with their stomas and the common problems encountered.

Volunteer nurses and stoma therapists provide professional advice on how to attain independence and confidence in the care of their stomas. Talks and presentations on health-related subjects such as nutrition and exercise were also organised. Well-rehabilitated members are given the opportunity to give back by visiting new patients either before or after their operation to render psychological and emotional support.

Membership is free.
